Hey, I'm Claire

a British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Fully Accredited Cognitive Behavioural and EMDR Psychotherapist and Qualified Social Worker (PG Dip, MSc, BSc Hons).

Throughout my career I have developed a wealth of experience in social care and psychological services in charity local government and the NHS. I provide individual, group therapy and coaching to support you to develop strategies and skills to come through adversity.  Whether you want treatment to overcome common mental health disorders, such as generalized anxiety, health anxiety, body dysmorphia, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD);  or to release yourself from self-limiting beliefs and move away from a comparison mindset, we'll work together so that you can live a life of wellness.

I believe that psychological well-being is much more than what's going on in our mind. My approach is holistic, working to understand the bio-psycho-social aspects of your life and how they might be integrating and maintaining distress. Based in evidence I focus on three pillars: balanced mind, balanced body and balanced action; so depending on your individual needs we'll work together to find the right combination for you. Whether you are struggling with stress, low mood or anxiety, we'll be using skills from various therapeutic modalities, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  Mindfulness Based CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) to support you to find your balance of wellness.
